In 2016, EdTA launched the National Individual Events Filming Project, an initiative designed to create a series of videos of superior-rated performances and technical presentations, and companion judges’ interviews from the International Thespian Festival National Individual Events Program. Although the program has since been given a new name - the International Thespian Excellence Awards - the long-term goal of the project remains the same. We are working to create a resource archive for students, teachers, and judges that illustrate what quality performances and presentations look and sound like, including insight from judges regarding what students and their teachers should consider when preparing to participate in the program. Thus far we have videos of superior-rated music, acting, and costume construction and companion judges' interviews. We will be adding additional videos, featuring other performances, technical presentations, and judges' interviews. Thanks to the Nevada Chapter, an additional set of resource are available for students interested in exploring each area of the rubric in more detail. Click on the links below for more information.
