The International Thespian Society is encouraging Thespian troupes that haven’t yet registered for its Trick or Treat So Kids Can Eat community service initiative to do so now, and to direct their donated food to an organization that is providing relief to the storm-ravaged Northeastern United States.
The deadline for TOTS-EAT donation verification forms has been extended through November 15.
“Hurricane Sandy has devastated much of the Northeast, and Halloween activities have been suspended and rescheduled in many of the affected communities,” said TOTS-EAT coordinator Ginny Butsch. “The need for disaster relief and food has never been greater in that region, so we’re hoping the deadline extension will make it possible for more of our troupes to be a part of this year’s food drive.”
“Thank you for making a positive impact on the lives of hungry families in your community and in the Northeast,” Butsch said.
