Welcome to the Educational Theatre Association’s College Resource
Center, your one-stop shop for the right school and the right theatre
program. We know the college journey can sometimes feel like a marathon
swim through alphabet soup—with PSAT, ACT, IB, FAFSA—but we can make it
as simple as ABC for you.
So, whether you’re looking for a rigorous bachelor of fine
arts in playwriting or a bachelor of arts in drama with a minor in
Spanish, the College Resource Center can simplify and streamline your
search process as we guide you through the steps and offer resources
along your college journey.
Remember, it’s never too early—or too late—to prepare for college. Whenever you’re ready, we’re here to help.
The specific steps toward success begin with defining your
goals and interests. The start of the school year is a good time to meet
your guidance counselor to review your college plan. Fall is also a
good time to take standardized tests and to collect supplemental
application materials like letters of recommendation. In winter, apply
for financial aid. Spring is best for campus visits.
Above all, don’t worry if your plans change. You’re
learning—and that’s what school is for. Many students change their minds
along their college journey as they learn more about themselves and
what’s available to them.
