I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as an Advocacy & Education Associate at the Educational Theatre Association office. I recently graduated from college with a degree in theatre, arts management, and entrepreneurship. I was a Thespian in high school – I acted in a dozen productions between 7th-12th grade, and was on crew for a few more. During my time in college, I didn’t spend much time on stage, but I did spend many hours doing dramaturgy, organizing community engagement events, building and painting sets, hanging lights, managing the box office and front of house, and more. My time in theatre has taught me many transferable life skills that have been crucial to my personal and professional development. Because of this, I’m very passionate about the importance of providing opportunities for theatre education for students!
