Festival housing begins Monday night. Early check-in is not available. Groups arriving prior to Monday must make their own arrangements for housing and meals until the start of the event.
For security reasons, room changes are NOT permitted once you arrive at the Festival.
Festival housing will be in university residence halls. Most rooms are doubles however there are a limited number of triple and quad rooms. If your delegation has an odd number of students and there are no more triples or quads available, one of your students will be assigned to a room with a student from another troupe. Female and male delegates will be housed in separate dorms.
Adults only may be assigned to a single room and there is an additional fee ($155) for a single room. Single rooms may include one person assigned to a room with two beds and a group shared bathroom with both students and adults that is down the hall. OR a room with one bed that is part of a four-room suite which will share a bathroom with three other adults. Housing assignments are random.
Check in, check out
Upon check-in, each delegate should inventory items in their room and report missing or damaged items in writing to the 24-hour dorm desk. Delegates should provide a copy of the list to the Thespian registration desk in the Lied Center lobby.
Check-out is 10:00 a.m., Sunday, June 30. A limited amount of luggage storage is available on a first-come, first-served basis beginning Sunday morning at 6:00 a.m. Please have all delegates and their belongings in the main lobby before requesting storage. All stored items must be collected by 2:30 p.m.
Each delegate will be issued a room key when checking in. If a key is lost, the delegate can secure a duplicate at the 24-hour desk. Delegates will be asked for identification before a new key is issued. All keys must be returned to the 24-hour desk clerk at check-out.
Linens and laundry
Sheets, pillows, pillowcases, a blanket, soap, washcloths, and towels are provided. Clean towels and washcloths are provided daily from Tuesday through Saturday through in-room towel exchange. However, UNL does not clean rooms daily. Laundry facilities are available in the dorm. Drinking glasses and clothes hangers are not provided. Irons may be checked out from the front desk. The residence halls are air-conditioned.
Registration includes three meals a day in the residence hall cafeterias. Meals are identical in all UNL cafeterias. Meals begin with Monday dinner and conclude with Sunday breakfast. A special food line will be reserved for adults in Selleck Hall. Troupe directors are encouraged to eat with their students in their regularly assigned cafeteria whenever possible. Students may NOT eat in Selleck Hall.
