Main Stage

There’s nothing like the rush of presenting a show for thousands of enthusiastic Thespians — or the electricity you’ll feel being part of an all-Thespian audience. The ITF main stage is the only place you can watch some of the very best full-length high school theatre productions from across the U.S. — all in one location.

More than 50 productions were reviewed for ITF 2020, with 11 schools chosen to perform on the main stage. The following shows already received invitations. Three more productions will be added this spring.

  • 9 to 5
Denver School of the Arts, Troupe 5869
  • My Fair Lady
New Albany High School, Troupe 4501
  • The Spitfire Grill
    Marcus High School, Troupe 4268
  • The Theory of Relativity
    Urbana High School, Troupe 161
  • Quilters
Orange County School of the Arts, Troupe 6826
  • Guys and Dolls
Floyd Central High School, Troupe 1794
  • Puffs, Or: Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic
Ardrey Kell High School, Troupe 7935
  • A Chorus Line
Northwest School of the Arts, Troupe 5634

Main stage productions are presented in the beautiful Indiana University Auditorium (where each show is performed twice so all ITF participants can see it) and in the charming Musical Arts Center (where troupe directors receive two tickets per attendee, with flexibility to choose the shows you want students to see). Seats in the MAC are limited and will sell out. The sooner your troupe is registered and paid in full, the better your chances of seeing the shows you prefer.
