Lincoln Municipal (airport code, LNK) is fifteen minutes from campus, but it has fewer airline options than Omaha’s Eppley Airfield (airport code, OMA) which is about an hour from UNL. Shuttles from the Lincoln airport can be arranged through UNL’s Parking and Transit Services for a fee of ~$25 per person, roundtrip. Transportation from Omaha can be arranged through Omalink.

Amtrak has two stations in Lincoln. Confirm with Amtrak which will be your arrival station so you may accurately coordinate your transportation from the station to the UNL campus.

Parking for cars will be available in designated areas at each residence hall. Parking passes are required for all vehicles that park on the UNL campus. There is no longer a parking fee. All vehicles must have a parking pass which you may acquire when you pick up your residence hall room keys. Heavy vehicles (buses, trucks, etc.) will be required to park at the back of the remote parking lot just south of the Devaney Sports Center.

Arriving and leaving
When you arrive, please go straight to the Lied Center to pick up your registration materials and confirm where you, your students, and chaperones will be staying.

If you arrive after the Festival office closes at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, please check the doors at the Lied Center entrance to see where you should go to receive room assignments, room keys, and meal cards. You can pick up your Festival registration materials on Tuesday morning after the Festival office opens.

Check-out in the dorms is 10:00 a.m. Sunday. To secure a later check-out time you must coordinate with the 24-hour desk clerk in your dorm the day before departure. Each delegate will be issued a room key when checking in at the dorm’s 24-hour desk. If a key is lost, the delegate can secure a duplicate at the 24-hour desk. Delegates will be asked for identification before a duplicate key is issued. All keys must be returned to the 24-hour desk clerk at check-out.

Getting around campus
Be prepared to do some walking. There is no campus transportation.

All Festival activities take place on the city campus of UNL, an area that is roughly 1 mile by 1 mile square.

The Thespian Festival hub and the office for the staff is in the Lied Center for Performing Arts, located at the corner of 12th and Q Streets. Nearby, you will also find the main performance spaces for the week: Lied Center, Kimball Hall, Carson Theatre, and Howell Theatre. Workshops and auditions are held in selected buildings throughout campus.
