Annual Leadership Summit and EdTA National Arts Advocacy program
The Educational Theatre Association’s Annual Leadership Summit brings together the organization’s leaders—members of the Board of Directors, student leaders, key staff members, leadership mentors, and chapter directors—for a three-day session of networking, planning, briefings, and workshops focused on organizational best practices. This year's theme is "Learn, Lead, Advocate."
Focused on advocacy, the 2017 Leadership Summit will be held July 17-22 at the Hilton Alexandra Mark Center in Washington, D.C. An event schedule is available here.
The 2017 Summit begins Tuesday morning, July 18, concluding at noon Thursday, July 20. As Summit concludes, the inaugural EdTA National Arts Advocacy program begins. This portion of the week focuses on advocacy-related topics and training, and includes visits to congressional offices on Capitol Hill. This event concludes at noon on Saturday, July 22.
There is no charge to register for either event, but registration is required for attendance. The registration site will open March 15 and close May 15. For Summit, chapter directors should register themselves and any of their board members who will attend. For the EdTA National Arts Advocacy program, individuals should register themselves. All registrants should book their own travel and hotel reservations.
