The Educational Theatre Association’s Annual Leadership Summit brings together the organization’s leaders—members of the Board of Directors, student leaders, key staff members, leadership mentors, and chapter directors—for a three-day session of networking, planning, briefings, and workshops focused on organizational best practices.
This year's Summit, held July 27-30 at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas, will focus on Building Member Value, and enabling you to best serve your chapter and meet its needs. From expanding programming, to streamlining administrative tasks, to improving communication, let's work together to help you build the best possible program for your teachers and students.
The 2016 Leadership Summit has three goals:
• Partnering between the EdTA National Office and the chapters to recruit and secure new members.
• Helping chapters strengthen fiscal responsibility by using budgets and building reserves, strengthening insurance and risk management procedures, and complying with request and invoice deadlines.
• Ensuring dedicated development of chapter boards and strengthening the training of Thespian officers.

This year registration is simpler than ever! Register yourself and your other chapter board members here. Breakfasts and lunches are included for each chapter director and one other chapter attendee. However, we encourage you to bring as many of your board members as possible! Registration fees for each additional chapter attendee are $150 per person, and will be invoiced separately. Chapters are responsible for travel and lodging arrangements for chapter directors and chapter board members as space allows.

We recommend that new chapter directors arrive on Wednesday, July 27, by 2:00pm to attend the revamped New Chapter Director Training, though the training is open to chapter directors of all experience levels! Otherwise, be sure to arrive at the hotel in time for the Welcome Reception from 7:00 to 10:00pm, hosted by the Texas Thespians. An event not to be missed! Summit concludes at 11:00am on Saturday, July 30, and the Dallas/Ft. Worth International Airport is just fifteen minutes away.
