Bio

Since 1999, I have been a full-time English Language Arts teacher, teaching everything from American Literature to World Literature to Creative Writing.  In the Fall of 2000, I was asked if I wanted to teach an Intro to Theater Class and eventually take over the school's drama program.  Not knowing what I was about to embark on, I said yes.
I always had a love for theater, but being in the director's chair has brought a rich joy to my teaching career.  While I love the end product, it is the journey of discovery and ensemble-building that I love the most.  In the Fall of 2001, shortly after the tragic events of September 11th, I directed my first show.  A night of One Acts:  The Lottery and I Never Saw Another Butterfly.   Over fifty shows later, I still enjoy MOST working with high school actors and pushing them to be their best onstage or behind-the scenes.
