Play Suggestions Needed!

Needing some quick suggestions from all of you, as I find myself in an interesting position this semester. I have taught theater for many years, and usually spend the summer reading new material for the upcoming year.  Last year, I asked the school to find a replacement for me, (which they did) but the new person resigned at the end of last semester. I have agreed to finish out the year, but I am at a loss as to what to do for the spring show. Help would be appreciated!
A quick list below of what I am looking for, and thank so much for your suggestions!

    • Would prefer a classic or more popular/recognizable play, but not stuck to that idea
    • Small cast of 5-10, most of the experienced students have quit the program.
    • Easy/representational or unit set
    • Either comedy or drama is fine
    • Something that new students could feel successful performing. I am going to try to get some of the older students to come back, but I have no guarantee that will happen.
    • Family and community friendly.

Basically, I need a perfect miracle play that will make some beginning students look like they loads of experience.  (...and selfishly, a show I can look back on with satisfaction as it will be my last!)

    Anyone?  Thanks!

Anatomy of Gray by Jim Leonard, Jr. is a lovely play with a small cast and representational set. I highly recommend! (Carried by Sam French)

    How about:
The Diviners - A powerful play that takes place during the depression era.
Daisey Pulls It Off - A comedy about life at a boarding school in England during the 20s.
Goodnight Desdemona, Good morning Juliet - 5 actors play multiple parts.

Thank you everyone for your help!
Several of these plays I have done already and I loved them. (Earnest, Miracle Worker, Scapino, one of my all time fav's)  But you've also given me several new plays to think about and look for.  Thank you so much!

    Hi -
I second the recommendation of The Diviners;  beautiful play.
The ending is tough, though - very sad - and technically somewhat difficult
to pull-off in terms of lights and sound.  When it works, though, it is really
stirring.  The play has a great message and vibe to it;  cast of about 11, if I
    recall correctly.
