  • 1.  Using TVs on stage

For our fall production, I'm considering having three TVs onstage. They would show static images to reinforce the setting (pictures of a neighborhood and trees for outside scenes, and pictures of a living room for inside). There are also scenes with TV reporters and I would like to have them onstage being filmed and shown live on the TVs as well (I like the visual of each reporter standing in front of a screen with their face in closeup, possibly just a fraction of a second behind what they are saying live).

I figure for the static images, I could do a slide show, but I'm not certain about the live feed (and I don't want the reporters pre-recorded). I'm also fine with each screen being controlled separately. As anyone done something like this? If so, how did it work, and what are you suggestions?
