Workshop a new one-act

    Hey all,

I'm looking for a school or two willing to workshop a new one-act. It's a low-key, wistful comedy (mostly): four main characters, two non-speaking parts. The play is called Camilla Comes Out. The subject is in the title. Proximity would be great; I live in Venice Beach. And I'd love if there were a school in a school in a conservative community that would consider it: (Orange County, rural Tennessee, Saudi Arabia.)

Of course there's no expectation that you're signing up for this blind. Just looking for places that will take it on consideration.

Hi Stephen, I might be interested. I'm not in California, but I am in a conservative part of Washington state, so maybe not too far? Message me.

Hello, I might be interested.  We are in a conservative Iowa town, not sure if that works as far as proximity though.  I'd very much appreciate some more info.

Hi Stephen;  Read your post and am interested in looking at the script.  I teach at Porterville High School in beautiful Porterville, CA in the heart of the conservative Central Valley.  We do a Night of One Acts as our last show of the year in May, so if it works out, we would be able to produce it before school gets out.  Feel free to contact me at if interested.  Thanks!
