Does anyone have any experience making Maurice's invention and Chips tea cart from Beauty and the Beast? I'm looking for a low cost and simple way to make these items. Any tips???

We didn't do a cart when we did the show - we bought oversized plastic flower pots and popped the bottoms out, made handles out of pool noodles, and Chip was able to walk around without having to roll.

The tea cart is basically just a table with a hole in it for Chip's head with a false bottom that is covered by the table cloth.  Put the thing on casters fashion a handle and you are good to go.  Here's a pic

Our invention was basically just a wooden wheelbarrow with some cranks on it.  I was not a successful as the cart but it worked fine. All about Props in GA has a lot of stuff for rent.

We rented the Chip costume which was a giant tea cup.

As for the invention, we used a bicycle and build a frame around it.  Used corrugated plastic to skin a lightweight pvc frame.  Then we added moving mechanisms.  the front weapons move and the top items also rotate and move up and down.
