    Rodgers and Hammerstein (G2K Series)
    Theatrical Rights Worldwide (Young@part/Younger@part)
    Tams-Witmark (Young Performer's Editions)

    Other reliable companies include:
    Pioneer Drama

We have a cast from 7 to 15 years of age and only do musicals.  We have found good plays to do from

    Beat by Beat Presshttp://www.bbbpress.com/
The scripts have the vocal score right in it, it's all digital so you don't have to return anything and you get it right away, so you don't have to pay extra if you need it for more than 12 weeks.  Also the composer is eminently reachable for discussion.

    International Theatre & Musichttp://www.itmshows.com/
This British publisher has a small catalog of full length musicals, but you are dealing directly with the author.  We have done two of his plays and will be doing a third next year.  We actually had a Skype web conference between the composer and the cast early one morning - he's in London, UK)  Áll digital.

Quote this Promotion Code: "LGRFor" when you book and you and I will both get US$33 (GBP25) .

    Maverick Musicals
    https://www.maverickmusicals.com/
This Australian company has the same principal - digital, nothing to return and you get it right away.  Their Little Stars was the most popular one in our kid's eyes.  It has a great deal of flexibility

    Pioneer Dramahttps://www.pioneerdrama.com/Default.asp
They have a large catalog of musical and straight plays - also digital.

    Tams-Witmarkhttps://tamswitmark.com/
Like MTI, they have a library of classics as well, but they wanted me to return my material, unless I got a Jr version, which they would ship to me 12 months in advance!

    Stage Rightshttps://www.stagerights.com/
A good catalog, also digital.  But they curiously won't send you the link to the material until a set number of weeks before the show.

    and you have already identified
    MTI Showshttps://www.mtishows.com/

It's worth noting that Tams-Witmark, Rodgers & Hammerstein, The Musical Company and now Samuel French are all owned by the same company, Concord Theatricals and certainly the first three are now in the same office.

Other companies we have looked at, but have not picked up their titles:

    ArtReach Children's Theatre Playshttps://www.childrenstheatreplays.com/_a-welcome.htm
    Drama Sourcehttp://www.dramasource.com/
Dramatic Publishinghttps://www.dramaticpublishing.com/ This was my first experience with "No, we won't send you the materials more than 12 weeks early." Surprised me, and we went a different route for that show, haven't had a chance to revisit their catalog yet.
    Dramatists Play Servicehttps://dramatists.com/
    Eldridge Plays and Musicals
    https://www.histage.com/
    Lifehouse Productionshttp://www.theaterscript.com/
    Miracle or 2 Theatrical Licensinghttps://miracleor2.com/
    Playscriptshttps://www.playscripts.com/  Another large catalog
Rodgers & Hammersteinhttps://www.rnh.com/  Classics of musical theatre
Samuel Frenchhttps://www.samuelfrench.com/  This is the giant catalog
    Stageplayshttps://www.stageplays.com/
Theatrical Licensinghttps://themusicalcompany.com/theatrical-licensing/  This is the Andrew Lloyd Webber catalog, amongst others
Theatrical Rights Worldwidehttps://www.theatricalrights.com/  A number of well known titles exclusively here
    Yellowbrick Publications
    - https://www.playsandsongs.com/
    Youth Plays - https://www.youthplays.com/

There are likely others out there, and hopefully some other answers will add to my list of resources....

Robert, thank you for mentioning Dramatic Publishing as a source for musicals.

I wanted to clarify that while normally we ship all music rental packages 12 weeks before the start date of your first performance, we always offer the option to ship the rental package 4 weeks earlier than that at no extra charge if a customer requests extra time. If an organization needs the package shipped any earlier than 16 weeks out, we also have the option to ship out at any time earlier, but there is a $25 charge per additional week.

Great list started with this stream! I would also add Lazy Bee Scripts from the UK. They have an excellent search engine and you can read all of their shows in their entirety online before purchasing. I have done several of their shows.

    Hi Carla!

We have used many of the resources already suggested.  One additional resource that I highly recommend is Beat by Beat Press:

    http://www.bbbpress.com/

We have produced "Twas the Week After Christmas" and are currently working on "The Journey of the Noble Gnarble."  I love their scripts and music - great story lines and the shows are perfectly geared to the elementary school performer.

    Good luck!

Pioneer Drama has some stuff but I think its sub par. They are consideraqble cheaper but they dont really let you peruse.

That has not been my experience with Pioneer. After 5 years of using Tams & MTI for Applause, Drood, Annie Get Your Gun, Li’l Abner & Charlie Brown, we have moved to Pioneer for our last 4 Shows including Secret Garden, Meet Me in St. Louis, Oz & Mirror Image. As the cost of the others has priced us right out of their catalogues, Pioneer is within our budget & the Music is snappy. I don’t think Sam French would call the late Tim Kelly’s work sub par. He has an extensive collection in both the Sam French & Pioneer catalogues. Pioneer offers 3 perusals for $15 and they take it off any show you do with them.

Gotta agree with you on Tim Kelly. The first musical I ever directed was “Money, Power, Murder, Lust, Revenge, and Marvelous Clothes.” Very campy and silly, which is exactly what we needed to start our new community theatre endeavor.

Go to Beat By Beat. They have some great shows all geared for elementary kids to perform. Super group to work with. They have many titles and do an awesome job.

Break a leg and may all your theatre seats be filled!
