Last spring I read a script that I liked. Unfortunately, I didn't write down the name (thinking I would remember it). I cannot remember it or find it. If I give a brief synopsis, maybe someone will recognize it and tell me the name:
There are only two characters, a grandfather and his granddaughter. She has always come to stay with the grandfather and the grandmother for the summer. When the grandmother dies, he is reluctant to tell her (because she is so young), so he tells his granddaughter that the grandmother has run off with the circus. WHAT IS THE NAME OF THAT PLAY?? Thanks in advance.

I don't know! But this question reminds me of the wonderful requests in the comments section of this article, "Finding a Book When You've Forgotten Its Title."

It sure sounds like Walking the Tightrope, which is a beautiful play. Saw it here in LA produced by 24th Street Theatre.

    Is this a full-length play or a one-act?

It's a full length. It's called Walking the Tightrope. Someone recognized it
