Washington, DC-based Good Insight has been retained to facilitate the national search for EdTA’s next executive leader. Search committee chairs Krista Carson Elhai and Matt Conover selected the firm following a monthlong proposal and interview process.

“Good Insight’s focus in the nonprofit sector, commitment to anti-racism, and tailored hiring approach make it an ideal firm to guide us through our national search,” said Elhai. “We’re excited to have their partnership in finding the right candidate to lead EdTA into the future.”

The firm works exclusively with nonprofit organizations, with a mission to “connect good causes to great leaders.” In the coming weeks, Good Insight’s recruiting team will get to know EdTA’s operations and needs in an executive director, then begin recruiting candidates.

Good Insight will present at least 10 candidates to the search committee, facilitate a series of interviews and screening activities to select finalists, then help the board hire the preferred candidate. To ensure a good fit, Good Insight also will assist the board and staff in onboarding the new executive through the first few months on the job.

In addition to hiring the recruiting firm, Elhai and Conover have now assembled the full search committee, which consists of 13 people who represent the varied perspectives and backgrounds of EdTA’s members and constituents — including chapter directors, teachers, industry professionals, teaching artists, students, board, and staff. The full committee will participate in screening and interviewing candidates.

“We’re thrilled about the wisdom, experience, and diversity this committee will bring to our hiring process,” said Conover.
