The National Core Arts Standards have established what artistically literate students should know and be able to do and affirm the value of trained arts educators. Theatre teachers know that redefining and refreshing their knowledge and skills on a regular basis is key to student success in standards based education.

The 2015 EdTA National Conference will "set the standard" through dynamic workshops, stimulating keynotes, and opportunities to learn and share with old and new friends.

EdTA is offering a full-day Standards Symposium presented by Core Theatre Standards’ co-writing team chair Dr. Mary Schuttler, writing team member Leslie Van Leishout, and EdTA Director of Educational Policy James Palmarini, a member of the National Coalition for Core Arts Standards leadership team.
