Annual Leadership Summit

The Educational Theatre Association’s annual Leadership Summit brings together the spectrum of the organization’s leaders—members of the Board of Directors, student leaders, key staff members, leadership mentors, and state chapter directors (and chapter board members as space permits)—for a three-day session of networking, planning, briefings, and workshops focused on organizational best practices.
Typical Summit workshop topics from past years: raising funds for sponsorships and scholarships, Swap Shop of great ideas, working with student leaders, advocacy issues and tools, Guest Artists’ discussion, Junior Thespians and chapter finances. Participants are encouraged to submit proposals for workshops.
Because the facility capacity is limited, chapter directors must have plans to invite chapter board members to attend the Summit approved by the EdTA staff. State chapter organizations are responsible for travel and lodging arrangements for state chapter directors and state chapter board members (room rate: $132/night single and double). Breakfasts, snacks, and lunch are covered by EdTA.
